Once you get your hair thinned, you can't get it thick again, right?

I'm still deciding whether or not I should get my hair thinned. It's really thick and annoying sometimes..I don't know if I should.Help me!

Once you get your hair thinned, you can't get it thick again, right?

are you talking about chemically straightening your hair?

if you are then yeah your hair does get thick again, i'm thinking about after a year or two it'll slowly come back to your normal hair texture. but i think it depends on how well the person does it to your hair.

if you are talking about getting it thinned out like having the person who usually cuts your hair, then i'm pretty sure it'll get thick again once it grows back in.

hope that helped!

Well, as long as you continually get it thinned, every 6 weeks, t'll keep it under control

I used to get mine thinned out, they are actually just cutting extra off in different layers and not cutting it down to the roots so it will grow back, it just takes longer to get back to where it was. Probably in another 6 months or so you'll need it thinned again. I'm 57 now so it thins itself, lol.

When they thin your hair, they basically just cut shorter layers into your hair. You can't see that your hair has been thinned, unless they thin it way too much, but you can feel the difference. It's not going to be permanent, you'll need to get it done everytime you get your hair cut if you want to keep it that way. I do it on most of the men's hair that I cut. Especially during the summer, it helps keep you from getting so hot. But if your hair is really thick, it would be great for you. Just make sure the person who cuts your hair knows what they are doing!

omg no! you should be very thankful that you have thick hair because when you reach menopause your hair will start to thin out on the count of hormone replacement. i have very thick long natural curly hair....... so my hair is really thick on the count of my natural curls.

i would say no. don't have it done.

you can curl, straighten your hair and it looks sooooooo much better being thick then paper thin is when it doesn't look attractive. hope i made you change your mind:)
