Very little/thin hairs on the back head of my 5 months old son.?

There are normal hairs on the top and sides of the head of my 5 months old son. is it okay? how and when will grow thick hairs on his head? please give me an advice if anyone has some personal experience. i want very thick and strong hair on his head as of mine.

The reason his hair looks like this is because for the first several months, babies spend all their time on their back. (Or at least most of the time) so it creates a "bald" spot. As your baby begins to spend more time on his belly and or sitting up, this hair will grow back in. Don't worry!

At this age his hair has not really come in yet. Especially if he is still sleeping on hid back the poor little hair gets rubbed away. But dont worry when it starts growing it will start getting thick

Babies usually have very thin hair for the first few months of life and it eventually gets thicker. Now-a-days, since babies sleep on their backs, most of that fine baby hair rubs off and have a funny bald spot. That will fix itself when thicker hair comes in and baby starts rolling over at night on his own.

My first baby had super thin and straight hair for the longest time... then all of a sudden he lost all of it (think of a bad case of shedding) and in grew super thick curly hair in its place. My second baby is the same way. His hair was thin and wavy and after two people told me what a beautiful girl I had, I shaved his head. Now it's coming in thicker, or at least it has the illusion that it is thicker, b/c the hair was cut off at the thickest point.

Don't worry... he'll get his "grown up" hair pretty soon.

WELL TO TELL YOU THE TRUTH, ALL BABIES GO THROUGH THIS. IT'S NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT, THE HAIR EVENTUALLY GROWS BACK BEAUTIFULLY.

yours was probably like that at his age, too. Look around at other babies, it's genetic, there isn't much you can do about it. some people will tell you to buzz it short, that really just gets rid of the finer ends, but it might help you feel better.

all 3 of my girls went through this at that age-and i think it's because they mostly lay on their backs while sleeping, usually sleep a good few hours at each naptime i really think it has something to do with it i've snuck in to watch my one daughter how she falls asleep-and she rubs her head from side to side to get comfortable.

It is normal for a baby to experience falling hair or thin hair. In time it'll grow back. No need to worry about it. As to wanting your baby to have a very thick mass of hair, I think you'll have to wait and find out if she/he does later on. A friend told me long time ago that if I wanted my baby to have very thick hair, I should eat lots of peanuts while still pregnant. Too late because by that time I stopped having babies.

if you are laying your son on his back alot that is probably why he has very little hair in that section. you should try laying him on his side or stomach to give the back of his head a break. eventually the hair will start growing back it just takes time.
