Are there any really good hair growing products out there?

I was just wondering about a product called alphactif that I saw on a beauty website. I'm trying to find some reviews on it so I'll let you know if I find anything out.

Use as cold water as you can stand to wash it. Keep it wet as much as possible. Put it in a pony tail often or better yet, braid it a lot. and trim the bottom inch and a half every 2 or 3 months.

Are there any really good hair growing products out there?

no there aren't any hair growing products. don't be fooled by what u see on t.v. only thing i can tell u is get hair thickening shampoo

Are there any really good hair growing products out there?

I used garnier fructise (stuff in the green bottle) length and strength (long and strong) it worked for me. After I had my baby my hair stopped growing as fast now with that shampoo its grows so fast as if I was taking prenatal vitamins again.

Are there any really good hair growing products out there?

No there is no such animal.

I have heard of one method but never tried it. This guy told me that sleeping with your head between your GFs legs up as far as you can will help the heir grow better. Shortly after that I was on the bus and I saw this bold head over the seat so I thought i would tell him this so I reached over and touched him on the shoulder. He reaised up and turned and had this full beard and mustach. Naturily I tole him he was not suposed to eat it.

There are the usual which you've probably already checked out, like Minoxidil. The FDA recently approved a new device and that surprised me. It's a brush with LED laser diodes in it for low level laser therapy.

http://www.lasercomb.net/

Or you can tape a bunch of laser pointers together and see if it works. This was not tested for your particular condition so maybe you want to tape the laser pointers together first and see what happens. They're charging $550 for the nine diode brush and $400 for the five diode brush.

I have really thick hair and want to get it 'thinned out'??

i have heard some of my friends saying that they have had their hair 'thinned out'. Was just wondering how this is done n whether or not it ruins your hair over time?? N if i go to my hairdresser and just say i would like it 'thinned out', will she know what i mean?? thanks x

I have really thick hair and want to get it 'thinned out'??

well, just ask the hairdresses to layer your hair. they'll understand.

I have really thick hair and want to get it 'thinned out'??

I too have very puffy..thick..fizzy wavy hair.

Yes the hairdresser will know what you mean however...

BEWARE of salons "thinning" your hair. Thinning may make your hair thinner but many salons do not under stand that if you hair is puffy and frizzy thinning it makes it more light weight and makes it appear bigger. Also the shorter the cut..the more volume you achieve. So your best bet would be to grow your hair long, add some LONG layers if you want layers..do not thin it. The longer it is, it will weigh itself down.

Then, minimize the amount you wash your hair..every three days or so. Take the time to blow dry in small sections pulling tight with a ceramic round brush or a paddle brush ( I use both for different parts of my head) then go over each piece with a straighteining iron that should smooth out all the frizz.

I promise this works. If my hair can look "normal" so can yours. It is time consuming but once you get the hang of it, its not so bad

I have really thick hair and want to get it 'thinned out'??

you can probally can just keep puting heat on it and keep striaghting it or stop eating alot of meat cause your hair is made of protien

I have really thick hair and want to get it 'thinned out'??

It means getting layers. I had really curly thick hair and I got layers and it definitely "thinned it out".

I have really thick hair and want to get it 'thinned out'??

Your hairdresser will know what you mean. They have a certain type of scissor that they use. My sister is a hairdresser and I have seen her do it. It won't ruin your hair. Talk to your hairdresser about your concerns.

I have really thick hair and want to get it 'thinned out'??

I don't know why...we are all jealous! The hairdresses like to do that and tell you thinning it on top anyway make it fluff up better for bangs.

I have really thick hair and want to get it 'thinned out'??

They use these special scissors called "thinning shears", I believe that is what they use. It strips the hair of the excess bulk..works really well, and your hairdresser will know what you mean, just explain why you want it done so she knows how much to take out of it. And getting it thinned out and getting it layered are two different things.

I have really thick hair and want to get it 'thinned out'??

Thinning out the hair used to involve some very funny looking scissors and the hair was cut really close to the scalp near the crown of the head. (My mom is a retired beautician). I don't know if this is still how it's done but I'm sure people still get their hair thinned. You do have to keep faithful appts. with your beautician otherwise the hair will start to grow back and you'll have uneven growth.

I have really thick hair and want to get it 'thinned out'??

yeah, your hairdresser will know exactly what you mean.

it is not bad for your hair, they just cut it thinner it's like the opposite of having layers if your hair is too thin....

I have really thick hair and want to get it 'thinned out'??

I have really thick hair and want to get it 'thinned out'??

'Thinning' your hair will cause you problems and make out of control volume even worse. What they usually mean by thinning is going through your hair with scissors that cut some of the hairs short and leave others alone. you will end up with the shorter pieces sticking out all over as they grow out. It's a really bad idea and most professional stylists do not suggest that ANYONE have this done to their hair.

I have really thick hair and want to get it 'thinned out'??

Yea its ok for your hair.Got mine thinned out before. Felt like my head weighd 10lb less. Hope you like it!

I have really thick hair and want to get it 'thinned out'??

go to a hair dresser and ask for them to thin ur hair they will know what u mean no i doesent damage ur hair if its done properly

I have really thick hair and want to get it 'thinned out'??

No, it doesn't ruin your hair. But it just means that you need to have a trim every 4-6 weeks. Had mine done yesterday, looks a lot better.

I have really thick hair and want to get it 'thinned out'??

Mines always been thick, never done mine any harm over

a Lotta years when i have mine cut and thinned

at the barbers for three quid UK

women four pound for cut and thin

I have really thick hair and want to get it 'thinned out'??

i found the best way to thin my hair was to get older. its amazing!! the hair on top of my head is by some mysterious process getting thinner!! and i'm getting fatter to, maybe its all growing inwards towards my stomach!! argh get it out!

I have really thick hair and want to get it 'thinned out'??

Try getting your hair cut in layers used with a lazor edge scissors. When they are used it takes the weight off of your hair. You can also try relaxing or straightening your hair which will make your hair appear thinner. Try going to TLC's website for more hair and product tips. I also purchase hair magazines, but foremost ask your stylist for best hair tips and maintenance for your hair type.

I have really thick hair and want to get it 'thinned out'??

Yes, your hairdresser will know. And no, it does not damage. Makes the hair easier to manage and looks better.

I have really thick hair and want to get it 'thinned out'??

I personally would not get my hair thinned out. It just makes it worse for the frizzies. If ya have curly hair... then long layers like people have said. Or I have heard of a style called Carve and Slice....... which sounds scarey. But from what I can tell is that they do layers from one side of your head to the other instead of from the crown to the bottom of your hair. So apparently going from side to side helps the curls or waves blend better......

I have really thick hair and want to get it 'thinned out'??

i know a way to thin your hair... dye it a few times and straighten it every day... believe me! i used to have unbelievably thick hair and now its really thin... but anyways thats not good for your hair so yes, they can thin it out at a salon... i had it done once but i didnt notice ANY difference afterward

I have really thick hair and want to get it 'thinned out'??

Do you know, I have really thick hair too, and only this week, I've been thinking I would like it thinned out, but I don't like layers, and I'm not too keen on shorter hair. My hair is very long and wavy too. When I blow dry it, it does straighten out, but obviously it is very thick, so Straightening it does make it loads better, but as where many girls have about four or five layers of hair, I have more like 400 or 500 layers, (well maybe not that many, but not far off).

So do you know what I was thinking, well I will tell you, I was thinking of shaving some layers off completely, that will make it look loads thinner. Unfortunately, I'm not that brave, so will have to just put up with it.

All the best with the thinning of your hair, but if I was you, I would leave it, as once its cut, theres no going back, and that will only make you miserable.

I have really thick hair and want to get it 'thinned out'??

they just cut bits from underneth your hair, it will grow back so you have to keep doing it! or just go for layers!

I have really thick hair and want to get it 'thinned out'??

When I want my hair thinned, I usually just tell them to thin it. But you can specify them to use shears, that is what is supposed to be used so make sure you mention those.

Colleen

I have really thick hair and want to get it 'thinned out'??

Usually the hairdresser will razor layers through the hair to make it thinner

I have really thick hair and want to get it 'thinned out'??

i get my hair thinned out.it just means putting layers in if u want and chopping ur hair to thin it.if u dont like it then ur hair will grow back.happy snipping!

Mother of the bride hair styles?

Its my wedding, but my mother keeps asking me what to do with her hair. She has extremely thin hair, and its about shoulder length. What should she do? Our wedding is black and white formal.

Mother of the bride hair styles?

Here's some ideas:

http://www.brides.com/beauty/hairstyles/... updo

http://www.brides.com/beauty/hairstyles/... half up

http://www.brides.com/beauty/hairstyles/... at the last wedding I was at, the mother of the bride had the front pulled back like the photo, but she had the rest straightened (ringlets weren't really her thing). It looked gorgeous though

Hair tips for mom:

http://www.youandyourwedding.co.uk/index...

I really like the idea of a low bun http://www.brides.com/fashion/dresses/ga... it looks really classic but definitely won't steal the thunder of the bride. With the right mousses and sprays, her thin hair can look thick

This is also cute http://www.brides.com/fashion/dresses/ga... . You'd curl all her hair and then just pull it back with bobby pins.

Bring her to the salon with you.

Mother of the bride hair styles?

My mother's hair is the same way she just left it straight.

Mother of the bride hair styles?

How can i make my hair look less dry?

There is a 2 great products made by Farouk. 1 is CHI silk infusion. It is a silk protein based serum that you can put in your hair while it is wet or dry. It does have an oily texture to it, so depending on the length of your hair, a few drops will go a long way. The other is a spray called CHI shine infusion. Just lightly spray it on your hair once it is dry and your hair will shine. Both of these products can be used with heat, such as blow dryer, and flat iron, and work really great with both. If fact the silk infusion is heat activated and can even be used on your skin. After a week or two of using these products your hair will really feel and look alot softer and shinier. They are professional products so you'll need to get them from a salon. They will cost you a little more, but they will last you forever, and the you will love the outcome of your hair! Good luck!

Why is my dogs hair falling out in spots?

My dog is 11 months old and her hair is falling out in little(and i mean little) spots just on her back. they arent irritated spots or anything just balding spots. she acts normal and has never had problems with the food she is eating. she has been eating the same way since we got her at 3 months and hasnt gotten into anything unusual. im wondering if maybe she just has thin hair and is shedding (she is a short hair dog) or maybe if it could be a skin disease.

Why is my dogs hair falling out in spots?

It could be anything or nothing. If there is no itching, scratching, scabs or other physical signs or behavioral issues it really could just be normal shedding. Only a Vet can say for sure.

Think about everything around your dog and yourself (and I mean everything) that could have changed or be a new exposure.

* Mold/mildew (common when houses are closed up a lot in winter),

* stressors such as being inside or outside or home alone more.

* Food, too much/little of a nutrient (had a lab/pit that could not eat high protein dog food %26amp; a cat that had to eat low ash food). Many pet food companies changed their recipies ever so slightly after the recall.

* flea/ticks/mites/lice/chiggers,

*Mange, scabies %26amp; ringworm are possible but generally show more signs then just hair loss including bumps, scabs %26amp; itching.

*Rubbing on something like crawling under a bed or coffee table (one of my dogs rubs a smooth bald spot on his chest just walking through the dog door all the time),

skin irritation or allergy from just about anything:

* pollen,

*shampoo, yours or the dogs

* lotions, talc's %26amp; powders

* laundry soap or fabric softener on bedding

* carpet deodorizing sprays or granules,

* lawn fertilizer, herbicides, pesticides, soil,

* Other animals such as cats (I had a cockier that was allergic to dirt %26amp; cat dander).

Could be simple Hot spots, but they usually do feel hot or appear red. Seborrhea or dry skin from too much bathing, swimming or even climate change (my friends dog gets dry skin every winter %26amp; usually includes some dandruff flake which is cured by adding moisture to the air and oils to the diet). Most dogs shed when the weather changes and depending on the breed and conditions, they shed a lot or a little and they can grow thicker coats or a thinner one.

There are many diseases and conditions it could be. Thyroid conditions cause hair loss in humans.

Think it through, see a Vet if all else fails.

*****************************

I would not make radical changes to your dogs diet if you believe it is food related, this can upset your puppies tummy so any food changes should be made gradually by adding more of the new food and less of the old food over a week or more, depending on how the dog reacts.

Why is my dogs hair falling out in spots?

Sounds like mange to me. Take her to the vet

Why is my dogs hair falling out in spots?

Take the dog to the vet.

Why is my dogs hair falling out in spots?

Sounds like hot spots, Demodex or Sarcoptic Mange Mite.

Why is my dogs hair falling out in spots?

My 8 month old Pug is being treated for Mange right now. One thing that happened before the fur fell out was the appearance or black and blue marks where the fur started falling out. It wasn't actual bruising but looked like it. also where the fur is coming out you may find little bumps which will open up and bleed. If it is Mange it could take 2-3 months of treatment to get your dog back to normal. The medication is not expensive.

Why is my dogs hair falling out in spots?

Hypothyroidism in dogs causes hair loss. Does she have a lack of energy as well?

Also, sometimes food allergies won't show up until later. Our pup was on the same food for 3 months until he started showing red bumps on his skin. Turns out he was allergic to grains. Take her to the vet, it's probably something serious, but easy to remedy. Good luck!

How can i overcome the fear of putting my hair up? ? ? ?

first of all, i have thin hair and when i put it up, you can see my scalp a little bit. but thats not the worst part. i NEVER put my hair up because my ears stick out, and they are kinda big. a lot of people have said that look fine, but i dont feel comfortable with them! so how can i overcome it? i will def NOT wear my hair up @ work, but i was thinking maybe going to the mall and just have my hair up??? can you give me some advice on what to do? im going to be saving up for plastic surgery, but @ the moment, i have to wait. HELP! i know this may sound really dumb to you, but im serious. please be nice :D God Bless

How can i overcome the fear of putting my hair up? ? ? ?

You know, some guys like girls with ears that stick out a little. I actually think it's pretty cute.

How can i overcome the fear of putting my hair up? ? ? ?

try a lower ponytail near the lower neck w/ mousse or a volumizer. I do that because my ears pop out too:)

Don't listen to the guy who commented before. His opinion doesn't matter.

How can i overcome the fear of putting my hair up? ? ? ?

Why do you need to put it up then? It doesn't hurt anyone if you leave it down. There is no reason to put it up.

How can i overcome the fear of putting my hair up? ? ? ?

Just wear it like that for one day. If you like it you can keep it like that. Try making a ponytail and where a good looking hat and you will look great!!!

How can i overcome the fear of putting my hair up? ? ? ?

oh just get over iy who cares if u have big ears

How can i overcome the fear of putting my hair up? ? ? ?

well then you should stop being ugly

I have a question about my hair?????

I fine kinda thin hair, and I like to straighten it everday but I always have to get my hair cut because it gets dead and frizzy too easily because of me straightening it...

I wanted to know what I could do with my hair so I don't always have to get it cut?

I have a question about my hair?????

Look for a hydrating shampoo. Your hair maybe very dry.

I have a question about my hair?????

you could probably find a moisturizing serum and it will help.

or you could get your hair straightened chemically.

I have a question about my hair?????

stop straightening it

I have a question about my hair?????

Get a product called "Hair Toys" i think it's by studio Fix, not 100% sure. But it'll gloss your hair and belive me, it'll totally help. Also, look into using Redkin for hair treatment, expensive but totally worth it!!!! and use a ceramic straightener, like Connair.

I have a question about my hair?????

Deep condition it once a week or so - or use a light leave-in conditioner. Also, get some sort of heat therapy serum for your strands. That'll help protect your hair.

I have a question about my hair?????

wont you try getting a perm

I have a question about my hair?????

well...my advice would be to stop straightening it...for a little while. Or try getting a special shampoo that will help your hair heal from the burning.

I have a question about my hair?????

Go to your local store and buy a heat protector for your hair...i always straighten my hair every single day weather its rain or shine....lol....this protector really works and you have nice healthy SRATIGHT hair!

I have a question about my hair?????

Don't straighten as often, and when you do, use a heat-protectant creme or spray, (L'Oreal Studioline Hot Straight Straightening Creme $3, Mane 'N Tail Barrier spray $5, Kiehls Heat Protective Straightening Balm $15) and use a mosturizing shampoo. Also, keep your straightener on a low hear setting.

I have a question about my hair?????

I also have to flat iron my hair every day as well. For a very long time I went through the dry hair breaking off stage. Really all you need to do is to get a great deep conditioner to use on your hair to keep it moisturized. If you have a Sally Beauty Supply store near you try the Ion Products they have a conditioning packet that you can buy for .99 and its the same thing that they used at the salon I worked at for the deep condtioning treatments and charged 29.99 to do. You can do it at home with a hair dryer or warm towel to activate. Also try investing in a product like Redkin Spray Starch when you straighten your hair it will protect it and keep it smooth and straight all day.. Good Luck..

I have a question about my hair?????

learn to live with curls an do things to accent the hair you have an not process it so much

I have a question about my hair?????

I suggest conditioning your hair daily but shampooing only every other day. Shampoo wears out hair and causes it to get frizzy. I also suggest replacing the good ol' wrap your hair in a towel method with scrunching it with paper towels. It sounds crazy but It prevent flyaways and ringleys. As for split ends, rub a tiny day of olive oil on them daily or cover a comb with olive oil and comb it through the split ends. Also, use a shampoo your stylist reccomends for your hair.

I have a question about my hair?????

you can buy this hair protecting stuff. you put it on before you sraighten it and then it wont get dry and frizzy. also when you take a bath or shower, put lots of conditioner and let it set for about 5 minutes.

I have a question about my hair?????

Don't worry I have suffered from the same problem.Cheap straighteners like conair and all walmart brands will burn you hair and cause dead ends no matter what.I have tried every straightener from walmart and they all seem to do the same thing.I recommend either a chi or a ISO these are both fairly expensive straighteners but once you have bought-en all the cheap ones and see that they all do the same thing then you break about even. But as for the stuff to keep your ends from breaking I use sleek look by matrix. The hot Iron smoother has worked wonders for me and all my friends who I have talked in to trying it.And the funny thing about this stuff is that it is so simple to use.Your spray a thin layer onto your hair and then do it to it. No puttin it in a making sure its even and not clumped it works great. You can get the whole line of sleek look by matrix at any salon or beauty shop.Hope this helps and good luck.
