I have really terrible knots in my hair any advice?

I've been using Aussie Knot Forgotten conditioner but its hard to comb it through my hair because I'm really tender headed and I have super fine, thin hair. When I finally do get a knot out my head hurts so much I can't rest it against anything.

I've been trying for a long time to get these knots out so please help!!!

Go to the store and get a regular conditioner. (White rain, Loreal, Suave... Something not to fancy) Wash your hair in the shower. When you put on the conditioner, put on a lot and leave it on for five minutes. Then, with the conditioner still in, gently work a comb through your hair. If this does not work, put on more conditioner and rub it in. Then, use your fingers to comb through your hair. *This will probably leave your hair greasy, so wash it with shampoo after.* Best of luck!

The best thing to do is just keep your hair at a short length. I have the same problem (my head isn't tender though) and I keep my hair above my shoulders. Also, using a good leave in conditioner helps. Comb your hair with a wide tooth comb throughout the day too.

comb your hair WHILE you are in the shower, with the conditioner in your hair. the best way to go about it is to start at the very tips of the hair, using a large tooth comb- you can move to a small tooth comb or brush after you get the tangles out. usually tangles occur underneath the hair towards the back of the head- try holding the hair just at the roots so that when you comb it it wont pull your scalp. remember not to yank- it does no good other than to tighten the knot and break the hair. patience is the best for these kind of knots- sorry! i have naturally curly hair and have to go through this 3-4 times a week! good luck!

instead of using a brush and just brushing until there are no knots, use your hands to undo one knot at a time until there aren't any more knots. also, brush your hair every day and dont comb super wet hair because its weaker and easier to break. dry your hair until its damp first. good luck! :]

use a wide tooth comb and start at the bottom and work your way to the top. if it is as bad as you say, you may want to cut it short and start over. take better care of it in the future. good luck. hope this helps.
